Hi, and welcome to Good Bottle! We want to help you reduce the waste in your life and offer a sustainable high quality product for your home.

My name is Deanna and I started this company because, like many of you, I was fed up with all the waste my family was producing. I wanted a more sustainable way to buy the products we so often used and threw out each month. The Good Bottle Refill Shop combines my years of retail experience and my passion for low waste living into a unique shopping experience. I became aware and concerned that the things we think are being recycled are actually ending up elsewhere. The realization hit me that I was heading out to a big box retailer to buy so many products each month spending money on what I thought was convenience.

My next concern was about the chemicals in the products I was buying and seeking a cleaner options. In order to change our habits, I made a list of all the household items I was buying each month. The list was long and consisted of many single use things. I realized I was buying my trash! In reality, a few, simple, sustainable changes add up to big savings in time and money. When I found sustainable versions for each item on my list, I started buying those instead. I didn’t even know some of these amazing sustainable versions existed! The money I was spending at the big box stores drastically reduced and I was now making less trips to the store.

Discovering and learning about the Zero Waste lifestyle showed me that I could adapt some of the practices in my life without throwing away my trash can. I read about stores that refill all of your kitchen and bath products, and wished there was one close to me in New Jersey. That's how the idea for Good Bottle Refill Shop was born.
